Leadership and Governance
Two groups work together to form KDA-USA leadership team. The Advisory Board is a distinguished group of volunteers from around North America who bring experience, diversity and passion in economic empowerment of the people of Kenyan descent in North America. Our members elect the Advisory Board to provide strategic direction for the KDA-USA organization. Board members also serve as spokespersons and ambassadors for the Organization.
Our Executive Management Group oversees the implementation of the Board’s vision and strategies. They lead and manage all staff across all regional chapters in USA, Canada and Mexico to execute the activities outlined in our program plan and budget. KDA-USA staff serve and collaborate with network of chapters and volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to advance the social, civic education and economic aspirations of its members.
- A Volunteer Board, comprised of interim members, governs KDA-USA.
- The collective wisdom, experience, diversity and passion of the Board ultimately set and execute our core ideology, purpose and values — the enduring principles that guide us — our essential purpose for being. The Board and its volunteers drive our vitality and relevance.
- The Advisory Board is responsible and accountable for setting strategy and establishing policy to meet the needs of the KDA-USA members and its stakeholders.
